Grandson of Flubber

Lori was working upstairs and I was turning Snapper on to the joys of meals that are both delicious and tactile delights. I looked in the refrigerator and the cupboard. Within seconds we had tonight meal of couscous and applesauce. And not just any applesauce it was some sort of Mott's raspberry applesauce.

"Mommy's not around" I cooed. And I lay the goods on his booster chair tray. No bowls, no spoon, no parental intervention. He chowed, grinning and chortling with each fistful. He dug in each time I replenished his piles.

I went to the sink to wash my hands and I heard him sneeze. A small sneeze, quiet as a kitten's. I turned around to see the boy pulling a ropy green elastic mass out of his nose. He tried to let go, but it would let go of him.

An insoluble, industrial-strength bonding agent. We'll be rich! How can I produce it in mass quantities? What were the ratios of couscous, apple sauce? Devin, how much baby snot to add?

Sometimes you wish you had a camera, last night I wish I had a patent.

Strangely enough, I agree with President Bush...

The people who voted in the Iraqi elections were indeed brave.
