During a break, I spoke to an officer, a literature professor, and who was planning to build a SharePoint site about famous non-graduate of the Academy Edgar Allan Poe.
I had a burning question.
Me: Is it true that Edgar Allan Poe was expelled by The Academy because he showed up to an assembly wearing nothing but a sword?
Officer Professor (laughing a bit): The Academy’s official story is that Poe was dismissed because he was a ‘deficient cadet.’ Where did you hear your story?”
Me: Uh…from Peter Marshall on Hollywood Squares.
Officer Professor (laughing more): Well then it must be true.
